Exactly! Even putting shipping aside: I feel like there were a lot of us who assumed that the reason he was such an overall jerk to Korra was because he had trust issues, and problems letting people into his life… But apparently not.Let me talk about why I’m mad at Mako after Episode 4. He’s taking some heat and I feel like some of it is justified and some of it isn’t. If you don’t want to read about a little Mako ranting, feel free to ignore me. ;)

This shows EXACTLY why I’m angry at Mako. It’s not that he shows an interest in a pretty girl, or that he doesn’t notice Korra’s feelings—it’s that he’s acting like a hypocrite. And don’t even say it’s because when he met Korra it was before a match. I was an athlete myself so I know the whole mental pregame stuff. It doesn’t excuse a lack of manners. But my main point is there is NO WAY Mako would have ignored Asami had Bolin brought her into the locker room or whatever it’s called.
Don’t get me wrong..I still ship Makorra..and I’m glad to find something about Mako that makes me mad—perfect characters are super annoying and boring—but he has some making up to do in my book.
I’m not so secretly hoping Korra lets Mako get knocked around a bit on purpose in their next Probending match, or at least embarrasses him while they knows Asami is watching.
So there IS a new episode next Saturday? My TV Guide lists The Fred Show instead, but the following Saturday lists episode #6. Where’s episode #5?
